NiceDrums is a web forum for drummers. We aim to be a respected source of information for the online drummer, with an excellent community spirit. Nicedrums is looked after by Michael, a 21 year old drummer from South Australia. Users are encouraged to participate in the forum, and any news, links or reviews are appreciated. Most important though is to sit back and enjoy the drumming community.

In the beginning a young English drummer going by the name of Stu decided to create a website devoted to his passion; Drumming and all things drums! And thus Nicedrums.com was born in August 2001. Initially it offered just a basic forum and a few links, but it began to grow in momentum and developed a large following of regular users.

Around the same time another drummer from way over in Australia (Michael) had just taken over as webmaster of the Drum Tab Archive, one of the oldest and longest running drum tab websites on the internet. Stu announced Nicedrums on the DTA forum shortly after he created it. For the next few years all fantastic. Almost all of the DTA forum users were also regular posters over at Nicedrums, the two websites worked quite well along side each other.

Then, disaster struck. Sometime around the end of 2004, Nicedrums.com was defaced by the NeverEverNoSanity worm which attacked thousands of phpBB based forums across the net. Shortly after this Stu announced that he was nolonger able to maintain nicedrums, due to study and other commitments.

So, rather than see Nicedrums dissapear, Michael decided to continue the website. He attempted to contact Stu to ask for permission but was unable to find a working email. In the end Michael decided that Stu would rather see Nicedrums continue, so he went ahead and rebuilt the website. Unable to register the .com address, nicedrums.net was chosen, and the site has continued to be a popular destination for drummers.
